Fall Conference 2026
Join us for a weekend away with other students from across Oregon and Washington. We will dig into the life of Peter, worship, and deepen friendships. Enjoy fun activities, time with our campuses, and tasty snacks. Are you looking for a place to experience community and grow in your faith? Fall Conference is a great place to do that!

What's Fall conference like?
- Fall Conference is a refreshing weekend away from campus to get to know your fellowship and meet new friends from schools from Oregon and Washington.
- Sessions: We have three gatherings to hear from our speaker and have space to process in small groups from our campuses. We'll be led in musical worship by a team of InterVarsity staff and students, and there will be an optional time of seminars.
- Recreation time: You'll have free time Saturday afternoon to have fun and relax. Late evenings we'll also have plenty of activity options! There is an indoor gym for basketball or volleyball, outdoor pickleball courts, and of course NAPS...feel free to bring games to share!
- Housing is in 8-12 person bunk-style rooms with heating and AC. Each cabin has its own private bathroom. You'll need to bring bedding and towels. .
- Tech and Cell service: Fall Conference is an opportunity to disconnect from technology and to connect with God and others. Don’t expect strong cell service or wifi - but let staff or camp admin know if you have a pressing need. Tell your family before you go! In an emergency, they can reach Black Lake Bible Camp or the conference director.
How do I get there?
Carpools: talk with your staff or student leaders - they are probably organizing rides!
WHat does registration cover? Can I come if I can't afford the cost?
- Registration covers programming, recreation activities, lodging, and meals at camp. Meals during travel before and after fall conference is not covered.
- If you need help affording the cost of Fall Conference, ask your fellowship leaders or Campus Staff about scholarships.
Who is the speaker this year?

Jessica Cheng is an associate director in InterVarsity’s national Asian American Ministries department, where she coaches Asian American Ministry chapters and small groups, develops resources for Asian American students, and directs conferences for Asian American staff. During her 10 years on staff, she has also served as campus staff at Oregon State University and as a team leader for the Asian American InterVarsity chapter at the University of Washington. Her upbringing in an immigrant Chinese church and her experience as a student in an Asian American InterVarsity chapter have given her a passion for walking alongside Asian American students in their questions, growth, and formation in faith.
Jessica is married to Eckhart, a pastor at Church on the Ave, where he oversees Graduate Christian Fellowship. After living in Oxford, UK, for the past four years, they recently moved back to their hometown of Seattle, WA. |
What if i have dietary restrictions or medical needs?
- By dietary restrictions we mean vegetarian, vegan, or serious allergies (e.g., nut, wheat, etc.). We do not mean, "I'm trying a new diet and I can't eat French fries."
- If you have food restrictions that will affect your time at Fall Conference, please list these on your registration. If you are concerned about getting necessary nutrients (like enough grams of protein), you may want to bring supplemental items.
- If you have a medical condition that may require attention while at camp, please email the Conference Director Jackie.
- Please be sure to bring all regular medications, including inhalers, sufficient supplies for diabetes, and medication for any allergies.
- Because of the communal nature of Camp, if you are actively sick or test positive for COVID within 5 days, please do not come to Fall Conference.
What do i bring? do i need money?
- Insurance card and medicines you regularly take (Allergy? Bring your epipen! Asthma? Bring your inhaler!)
- Clothing, shoes, coat or jacket, and other weather-appropriate clothing. It sometimes rains at camp, so dress accordingly.
- Sleeping bag or other warm bedding, pillow, towel (the camp does not provide linens or towels)
- Optional: journal, pen/pencil, board games, water bottle
- Bible if you have one & notebook, soap, towel & toiletries, pillows, bedding or sleeping bag
- A heart and mind that are ready to receive what God wants to say to you
- A flexible attitude - ready to meet new people, worship in other languages, sleep in a bunk, share a bathroom
- Money - You may want to have cash or card available for:
- Gas money for your carpool driver
- Food during travel to and from fall conference
- An offering will be taken for and IFES student ministry.
- Do not Bring: any alcohol, illegal drugs, marijuana/cannabis products, or vape/tobacco products. Drinking alcohol, using marijuana/cannabis, using illegal drugs, and vaping/smoking are prohibited at Black Lake Bible Camp.

Over 100 students come to Fall Conference from InterVarsity chapters across Oregon and Washington! Expect to see students from Bushnell University, Central Oregon Community College, Everett Community College, Lane Community College, Lewis and Clark College, Oregon State University-Cascades, Pacific Lutheran University, Portland State University, Southwest Oregon Community College, University of Oregon, University of Puget Sound, University of Washington- Seattle, University of Washington- Tacoma Whitman College, Willamette University

WHAT IF I HAVE A QUESTION NOT ADDRESSED HERE?
Ask someone who has been to Fall Conference before! If you don't get an answer from a friend, ask your Campus Staff, and after that you may email the Conference Director.
I'M AT CAMP AND HAVE AN EMERGENCY, WHAT DO I DO?
If you have a critical emergency at camp, please call 911 first. Then please notify your InterVarsity staff as soon as you're able.
