Afternoon Experiences:

This afternoon, there are some great opportunities that will help us continue to enter into the banquet together! You can choose from 1 of 4 experiences that will give you the opportunity to explore the banquet in real life and that you can use back on campus.

The Alleys of Olympia: Meeting in parking lot at 1:30pm
Is the great banquet story a parable of the past or is it still relevant today? Come explore and discover how the great banquet is present in the city, and where God is at work making space and inviting those in the country roads and alleys. Bring your raincoat, walking shoes, and umbrella, and join us in downtown Olympia at the Percival Landing Pavilion.

Limited Space available. Sign up required.

The Party Gets Better: 2pm,  The Tab
One of the things Jesus told his disciples is “I’ve got to go so that the party can get better. I’m going to send the Holy Spirit!” Yet for many of us, partnering with the Holy Spirit is an unfamiliar part of our faith. We wonder if the things we read about people doing in the Bible can really happen today. Come explore how Jesus invites us to live naturally supernatural. Hosted by our friends from Seattle Vineyard Church and the Fall Conference worship team.

Across the Table: 2pm, Gym 201
Let’s be real. It can get messy when we start to invite everyone to the table. Different politics, different beliefs and values, cross-cultural relationships, and a bunch of broken people. We’re trying to get healthy but we can still hurt each other. How do we engage across the table with people very different from us in a way that respects that they are created in the image of God but still very much disagree. Maybe it’s something racist Aunt Sally says at Thanksgiving or a classmate who is deeply opposed to Jesus.

Peace Feasts: 2pm, Gym 202
Curious about how to engage in honest spiritual conversations and begin or deepen relationships with the Muslim community on campus? Come enjoy a Mini Peace Feast with Rachael Johnson!  We will experience a taste of a Muslim-Christian Peace Feast over baklava and homemade chai.  Many students have hosted Peace Feasts as the first steps towards talking to their Muslim friends about Jesus. Come chat about how to not only share a meal and heart-level spiritual conversations, but also to build real, lasting friendships with Muslims neighbors.

Limited Space available. Sign up required.
